Thanks for the comments about my old Royal Enfield. I sold it to a Brit about 15 years ago and he took it back to the UK. You might spot it on the street one day, Sabini.

Hi Trine,

Obama was barely 15 years old when I built the bike. Didn't have much influence since I'd never heard of him.

The bike did pretty well with fuel consumption. You can't see it in the pic but it has a SU carb (from an Austin Healey Sprite) mounted on a hand-built manifold.

It didn't need much fuel. With 1947 era Harley springer front suspension and no suspension in the rear, you wouldn't want to take any trips across America on it.
