DISENCHANTED ALREADY UK

When I was a child, I couldn't understand why General Eisenhower was so popular. Maybe this will explain why.

    General Eisenhower Warned Us.
    [
It is a matter of history that when the Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces, General Dwight Eisenhower, found the victims of the death camps he ordered all possible photographs to be taken, and for the German people from surrounding villages to be ushered through the camps and even made to bury the dead.

He did this because he said in words to this effect:

'Get it all on record now - get the films - get the witnesses - because somewhere down the road of history some bastard will get up and say that this never happened'

This week, the UK debated whether to remove The Holocaust from its school curriculum because it 'offends' the Muslim population, which claims it never occurred. It is not removed as yet........ However, this is a frightening portent of the fear that is gripping the world and how easily each country is giving into it.

It is now more than 65 years after the Second World War in Europe ended. This e-mail is being sent as a memorial chain, in memory of the, six million Jews, 20 million Russians, 10 million Christians, and 1,900 Catholic priests Who were 'murdered, raped, burned, starved, beaten, experimented on and humiliated, while many in the world looked the other way!

Now, more than ever, with Iran, among others, claiming the Holocaust "never happened,it is imperative to make sure the world never forgets.

This e-mail is intended to reach 400 million people! Be a link in the memorial chain and help distribute this around the world.

How many years will it be before the attack on the World Trade Center 'NEVER HAPPENED',
    because it offends some Muslim???

FREEDOM ISN'T FREE...SOMEONE HAD TO PAY FOR IT!

To a certain extent this is so typical of appeasment and unwanted political correctness and even applies to our own little community, where would we be today IF....................................................................

Thank you for that, Cris. As an act of Solidarity. I'd like to extend that "What IF................." At the end of your message. This is a short poem written by Pastor Niemoller. He was a Pastor who had seen people carted away, but didn't pay attention, until they finally came to arrrest him for not supporting the Reich strongly enough. His words are below and echo the truths of a man who waited too long to speak up:

First they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for the Communists and I did not speak out because I was not a Communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Both of our countries have a bloody past which we continue to apologise for - but those who deny the past need a swift kick.
Keep up the good work. I get surprised looks and gasps because I'm passionate about my freedom and I want the world to know it. (I guess senior citizens are supposed to act like their dead).

    Hi Cristine .
That is a hard hitting fact you have brought up .We must "never forget" or allow anyone to forget the holocaust it was the most inhumane part of history ever , just the fact that most if not all jewish people in those camps wanted to die within a few weeks of being there shows how bad it was .

This country is going through somekind of invasion from within and as you know we are in no position to be predjudice but it makes my blood boil that our future (childrens) history lessons are even thought of being changed to suit' or so as not to offend the ever growing muslim population. This tiny island is to small to cater for them , they don,t want to abide by british rules but expect us to cater for thier beliefs and ways of life .

We must never forget the millions that suffered in those camps , at the time they wanted to go to a better place and eventualy did but not after suffering pain we ourselves could never even begin to conceive.

Red triangle—political prisoners: communists, trade unionists, liberals, social democrats, Freemasons, anarchists.
Green triangle— "habitual criminals" (convicts, ofttimes Kapos, serving in exchange for reduced sentences or parole).
    Blue triangle—foreign forced laborers, emigrants.
Pink triangle—sexual offenders which included homosexual men along with rapists, bestiality and paedophiles.
    Purple triangle—"Bible Students"
Black triangle—people who were deemed "asocial elements" and "work shy" including
Roma (Gypsies), who were later assigned a brown triangle
    The mentally retarded
    The mentally ill
    Alcoholics
    Vagrants and beggars
    Pacifists
    Conscription resisters
    Prostitutes
    Some anarchists
    Aristocrats
This list obviously excludes The Yellow Star of David, reserved for the Jews. The genocide of these six million people was a genocide of two-thirds of the population of nine million Jews who had resided in Europe before the Holocaust. Some scholars maintain that the definition of the Holocaust should also include the Nazis' systematic murder of millions of people in other groups, including ethnic Poles, Romani, Soviet civilians, Soviet prisoners of war, people with disabilities, homosexuals, Jehovah's Witnesses, and other political and religious opponents. By this definition, the total number of Holocaust victims would be between 11 million and 17 million people.

I very much doubt there would be many of us here that would not have fallen into at least 1 or 2 of these categories. I personally woulod have needed black, purple, red, pink purple and brown.

The Holocaust must never be denied or forgotten by us.

    Right on Cristine!!!
Churchill warned everyone about the Germans (regarding Hitler) prior to World War Two ...and he was ignored by the left-wing Govt of the day. He Warned them about Russia as well ....and was ignore until it was almost too late.
What bothers me most is the "creeping Socialism" that so many Countries are embracing under the 'guise of "liberalism" Many of the posts I have written on this site are in defense of a more "right-wing" approach to what has been emerging lately in so many Countries. It appears that if you stand up to this left-wing way of life - you are either labeled a racist...or a bible thumper.
    I am neither - yet I am obviously "right-of-center."
One of the quotes I posted in these forums was from an inaugural address the JFK made in the early 60's
"Ask not what your Country can do for you...Ask what you can do for your Country"
to para-phrase this a slightly. "Ask not what your Country can do for you... Ask what you can do for yourself!"
Perhaps it is time that more people relied less on what assistance the Country can give them ...and more on what they can accomplish by themselves.
All my life, I have worked hard to get ahead (it's called Capitalism) and I have been fortunate to have never needed any kind of Social assistance - but even if I had been in that situation, my primary goal would have been to return to financial independence as soon as possible and ensure that I never let myself get back into same that situation.
Having the "state" help you is not a "default" way of life...it should only be considered as a temporary last resort. Unfortunately, many people consider this (social support systems) a right - when in fact...it is charity. And be aware, it is a charity that is provided by the people who strive for (as I said before) financial Independence.

My first post so please excuse me... regarding Churchill, i'm assuming you are talking about the British Government. It's true that Churchill warned about German re-armament during the 1920s/30s. However Britain had mainly Conservative or National governments during this period, These were Right Wing, not Left-Wing. Prime Ministers Baldwin, Chamberlain..etc..

In fact if Churchill and a few others hadn't been prepared to argue the case, a large section of the British ruling elite, for example Lord Halifax, were ready to make peace with Hitler well before 1939. Chamberlain even got on a plane and thought he had done the deal at Munich.

    Hi Kristy,

Welcome to the Forums, and thanks for a rational input to what has been hijacked from a comment by Cristine about learning from the past to a platform for right wing polemics.

Please feel free to express your opinions here, some of us will appreciate them.

    Best,

I think some have missed the point, this was not about, the past, its about things that are happening today, that are happening because some numbskulls have not learned the lessons of the past, Its as Crissie said, its about political correctness gone mad. Some authorities in the UK even ban public displays of our own festivals, like Christmas lighting in the streets and town centres. being deluded into thinking it offends the majority of other faiths and people that are different I think she was looking for comments on that not, what happened donkeys years ago. I think Julia and Melody got the message.

My comments regarding Churchill were meant to address the dangers of blindly following the "politically correct".
There is only so much freedom in this world ...and we should not be so quick to give up those freedoms just to show other people how far we are willing to bend... When we give up of freedoms without a justifiable cause, it indicates that we did not really value those freedoms.
Are we allowing what has happened in the past to be distorted just to please another culture or to be "Politically Correct?" ...if so, we are robbing ourselves of reality. We live in reality and it is necessary to remember the past correctly in order to make sure the bad things in the past are not repeated...and the good things are continued.

The general point I was making in my last post is that we all have to actively participate in the growth of our Countries and Cultures.
When my time comes, I want to look back and be able to say "I made things a little bit better"

Agreed, its important to get the facts correct, and to defend all the freedoms we value. Freedom of speech is one of the most vital of these. Political Correctness is usually counter productive anyway, particularly if it attacks freedom of speech. . As you say, lessons from History, such as the Holocaust / Genocide, and Wars, should be remembered, and the victims honoured, not forgotten..if we are to learn anything at all.

He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from opposition; for if he violates this duty he establishes a precedent that will reach himself. ~Thomas Paine

    Penny,
There is nothing ironic about "going to war to bring peace". eg. WWII, WWI ...

    Thanks Cassandra.
Nice to know some observe i,m not thick .
I know exactly what Cristine means its just a shame we have no power to put a stop to it , i have tried and failed.
In Ipswich town centre a few months ago i was called "White f~cking s#hit tranny by 4 muslims in front of 2 community support officers , when i asked "did you hear that" they said "drop it they will just shout discrimination" i asked what if i called them something in return then? "we will arrest you" just drop it , one rule for them comes to mind .
Hope Crissies Navel is ok .

I have no doubt people will scream that I am off target with this but, with respect to what Julia contributed, I live right in the middle of one of the biggest ethnic regions of the Uk, and can absolutely agree with what she says because we see it here every single day of our lives to the extent that we are discriminated persistantly as white English (yep I am not scared to use the scarey ENGLISH word). Where I live all religious festivals can enthusiastically held except for those deemed specifically English or Christian. We can have St. Patrick's Day St. David's Day St. Andrew's Day but never do we celebrate St. George's (yes I know he is now supposed to be a Roman or Greek or Turk or whatever, makes you wonder if some people wish to erode our sense of nationality and collective identity, but I just wonder who?)

    Hi Alison,

Not to make light of the attempts to take St. George from Britain, but is anyone else trying to claim that the Dragon was their own. Old George always seemed to be a rather rigid putz. I liked the Dragon...
