Did anyone here the discussion just before the 9am news this morning?

There was a debate about the LGBT History Month in February and the positive impact it could have.

Was nice to hear "trans" being referred to and no clever comments from the interviewer.

My listening was interrupted by a call while driving (hands free etc) and I just got back to hear some ignorant bloke saying that it was all a waste of time and that if LGBT shut up and stopped drawing attention to themselves there would be no homophobia or related bullying.

I was gobsmacked but wondered if I'd heard his 1950's style idiocy out of context.

So back to the closet girls and boys then everything will be OK. Wish I'd thought of that...
