Thru the looking glass….
I stepped thru the looking glass and what did I see?
A world full of wonder that was all about me.
Not the me of the old world, but of what could have been.
The girl growing up with a great big grin.
For my hands were so soft, my skin so pure
Unlike the old me that I’ve had to endure.
For this young girl was dressed in the finest of wares
As she had tea with all of her stuffed animal bears.
Time then jumped forward to my teenage years
To a time that was precious, which brought me to tears.
For the joys and sadness that would form the real me
Would prepare me for womanhood for all to see.
As I stepped back thru the looking glass pane
The world shifted back to a shade of plain.
Except for the image which stared back at me
A girl trying to become the best she can be.

Is that not a picture of Mia Wasikowska, as Alice in "Alice In Wonderland" movie with Johnny Depp?
Love that movie, watched it so many times I know most of the characters lines.
And, yes that dress....meow...the fashion of that whole time period, fabulous.
