This ad has been everywhere recently yet how this ad has been allowed to be broadcast i do not know as it is plainly transphobic, derogetory and outright offensive. I've included a link to the ad in this post (as i couldn't figure out how to embed the thing) so you can see how blatently offensive this ad is, pink news has a few articles regarding this ad too the links are below.

I saw this advert the other night and was a bit shocked to be honest. It just seems that enough people see transgender women as figures of fun, something to be pointed at and laughed at!

Would they show a 'spot the blind, deaf, black, gay, lesbian' etc?

I wouldn't like to be a transgendered lady going to the races this year... guys with too much to drink will think it is open season to have a go!

Shame on Paddy Power and the television companies for continuing to show it!

It was supposed to have been withdrawn after numerous complaints about it

Its definately still being broadcast Carol i've seen it no less than 2 dozen times in the past few hours even on cartoon network, and i agree it should be withdrawn as should any ad campaign that is so derogetory, and blantently offensive.

I saw it in an article at huffpost. ESPN decided against running it in the states. There were all kinds of comments on the story. Some supportive of us and many ignorant remarks made about it and us. I made a comment on the story that while I have seen much worse, there are only two directions of acceptance, forward, and backward. This is definitely not forward. We don't get a lot of this in the states, personally I'm glad we don't, but it seems to be a bit of a trade off as we have so many bigot politicians that openly spew their ignorance every chance they get. At least the bigot village's king, (Santorum), seems to be losing some momentum. I couldn't imagine life if he were elected president.

It would teach them a lesson if a flash mob of 1,000's showed up on one of their big days, every one dressed in nothing but corsets and stockings, and of course a big smile and danced to Madonna's like a virgin.
