Your decision is best, and the forums can seem rather public, but don't be afraid to share something personal when the time seems right. My experience is that this is mostly a welcoming community with fewer trolls than some places.

Thanks for telling me about your video. I was interested to see it (via your channel - the link doesn't seem to work). I'm very sorry that you were the victim of a transphobic crime. You did the right thing in reporting it, and you seem to have had a lot of support from the media and the local police. Let's hope it makes people more aware of the issues and more sensitive to those who are victims.
 
I haven't seen the exchanges you refer to on TGS but I can understand your decision to withdraw from the site to some extent. That's a natural part of the healing process. I'm sure there are a lot of us out there who are willing you to come through this stronger.
