So Saturday night I am still getting ready when the taxi arrived!!! Arrgghhh!!! Quickly finished off and ran out the door so we could collect Kayla on the way. We went to a place called ‘The Yard’ which was really great, nice atmosphere in there and not too busy so we could actually find a seat and chat. The first thing I noticed was how nice it was since the smoke free laws have been passed, as a non smoker it was great not to have that to put up with. Anyway, Emma King met us in there, jeez that girl is tall!! She was lovely, although I didn’t get to chat too much with her we did have a natter about this and that.
But the best part came when I went to the bar to get some drinks, and was chatted up by a very nice guy, and his friend as well., lol. (What a hussy)! I found it very flattering and ‘Paul’ was really nice and talkative and we did hit it off very well, but I decided I had better go back to the girls since that is why I came to Newcastle in the first place and I was staying with them after all. Still, maybe next time………
We left The Yard the went to ‘Gossip’ because we really wanted to do some dancing, well, Lucy especially and I am not much of a dancer myself. However, it was really good in there and I danced loads, badly of course but so what! After Gossip closed we split up and went our various ways, Kayla and Emma one way, me and Lucy another. After waiting for about an hour for a taxi and ditching some drunken git who was bugging us, we went home and chatted until 4.30am!! (all Lucy’s fault of course, everyone knows how quiet I am)!
Somehow I was still up and in the shower at 7:30. Justine was not feeling too well so Lucy and I went over to Kayla’s for lunch, (excellent BLT’s Kayla...). Kayla was also grinning from ear to ear for some reason………………..lol
But unfortunately it all had to end and I had to drive back south before returning to Germany. However, in the words (but NOT the voice!) of Arnie…….
‘I’ll be back’!
