As part of my job I have to take people out on hikes, camps and Duke of Edinburgh expeditions etc and have been out on one or the other for the last ten days. In that time I walked around 100 miles which was pretty nice, if if half of that was in the rain.......urghh! And not a set of hair straightners in sight either!  Jeez I looked like Diana Ross, or at least my hair did, lol.

Anyway, it was a nice week all in all and I love being outdoors and hiking anyway, I still can't believe someone actually pays me for this!!

Later in the year I am off to do a little hike of my own, I thought I might do the tour du Mont Blanc this year which should be lovely, it's so scenic there. Up until now I have only climbed the mountains there so it will be quite nice to do something different. Plus it's a great way to stay in shape too.

I haven't been able to do much trekking myself since the wee ones came along so I'm looking forward to getting back into it with a vengeance!!
