  Hi all, firstly, thankyou to all those who commented on my last blog. I didn't get time to thank you individually as I like to for obvious reasons.

  Anyway.......how did the op go?

  Well, I was on the table for four hours and everything seems to have gone pretty well, no complications or anything like that. I looked okay as far as bruising was concerned immediately post op but a hour or two later my eyes were black, literally. (I will put the pictures on here when I get back home). A day or two after that they are a nice shade of purple but the rest of my face is swollen and I look like a hamster!

  Actually though, there is no pain, my eyes were the worst where they had swollen and were digging into the splint, but it's just uncomfortable more than anything. Oh, and I have a real urge to blow my nose!!

  Still, I'm seeing the surgeon again on wednesday to have the splint removed and everything cleaned up. Hopefully by then the swelling and bruising will have gone too so I will look more or less normal again.

  Well, for me.......
