I had my post op appointment with the clinic today (did I mention how lovely, and gorgeous, all the nurses there are)? Anyway, they removed the splint from my nose and the stitches from underneath...........and then gave me a mirror!!!!
It was very exciting to look into the mirror and like what you see reflected back at you, worth every penny (and there were a lot of them)! Of course, the nose is still very swollen and so you can't see the finished result but you can get a good idea.
All the lumps and bumps have gone, it's smaller, thinner, has a slightly upturned tip, which I think looks cute, but then I am biased here, and altogether it's much nicer.
The swelling should go in a few weeks so by the end of July I will more or less have my new nose!! Then I have to change my passport, licence, id etc etc. I'm sooo looking forward to all of that. Finally, a face I am happy with.
