You know, I used to be so good at writing in my blog. Nothing special, just a rambling of what I had been up to, but this year has been so busy I just haven't had the time. As my report card would have said, 'must do better'.

Since getting back from holiday, which was fab or did I mention that already?, lol, I've been kept busy with my band and we have been taking bookings for next year which is good. I have also been making the most of the weather though and taking my bike out for some trips.

I had my first long(ish) ride last weekend and toured to several of the lakes in the part of the country. It was about a four hour trip so nothing huge, but that's because I didn't want to just ride for the sake of it.

I stopped for lunch at a place which always attracts the biker franternity and got chatting to a local group there. They didn't even mind that I wasn't riding a harley,lol. Along the route, I must have come across at least 250+ bikers all out on rides or stopping for a drink somewhere so I guess I picked a popular area. It's not suprising really, the scenery was lovely, and the roads were great to ride with nice sweeping bends. All in all it was a really good day.

I also got to try out my new helmet, one which has a built in sun visor rather like fighter pilots! What a blessing that is, to be able to flip it up or down as required. It certainly beats having a clear or tinted visor, which you have to change, or using sunglasses. 

I'm just waiting for my new leather jacket to arrive now and yes, it's black and pink!
