What a weekend....urgh! I had the migraine from hell which lasted four days and a touch of tonsilitis as well, what fun! Not! I spent the whole weekend in bed and didn't feel better until late yesterday. I'm on holiday, illness is for those times when you have to go to work!On the plus side I did lose some weight, not eating will do that to you, but I can think of some much nicer ways to do it. Nikki

My band played a gig last night for the Chopper Club here, great fun it was too. To be honest, we weren't at our best because we had to play with a stand-in bassist but we still rocked!! We had lots of positive feedback and picked up a few more gigs while we were there so that was nice. One in Belgium too which will be new for us.We partied on after we had finished, (as you do) and I finally climbed into bed at 5:00 am, I am still a little tired but soooo happy. I hope you all had a good Halloween. Nikki

Yesterday, the 24th, my son was born..YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!He is soooooo cute, and I have been alternating between crying and smiling for the last 24 hours because I am so happy! If anyone thinks it's kind of weird that I have a new child....it isn't. It doesn't make me any less of a woman, maybe even more so since the mothering instinct is obviously strong in me....(he is my fifth child after all). I am soooo happy! I have had a great year here on TW, and it's nice that I have been able to help and support the girls here. I have a fantastic wife who is very supportive of me and now my family is complete too. Life just doesn't get any better than this. Nikki xxxx

On Friday I was in the middle of getting dressed up when my wife came in to see if I wanted my hair styled, (my own hair that is), since it is now getting a reasonable length. Although I was kind of confused I agreed and she did a really good job too! I had never been out before without a wig so I felt very exposed at first but you can't beat your own hair, plus it's another factor to help passing I guess. The thing is, my wife has only seen me in pictures, fully dressed, and has had no desire to see me in the flesh, until this point. Maybe it's her coming around to the idea more, I don't know, neither does she! But we did agree that it was a Good Thing!Nikki

Degrees that is, having just spent way too much free time studying when I could be..........well, doing anything more interesting really! Still, noone made me do this and I do enjoy learning so I am pleased with myself. Once the result is posted I shall be treating myself to something nice too. Of course.Really missed everyone in the chat room these past couple of weeks while I have been revising but it does mean I will have lots of gossip to catch up when over the weekend! Now the real problem begins, what to wear for my ceremony.........Nikki x

I gave myself a break from my studies yesterday and had a night out with a group of local girls that I found here. We took over a local place and had an organised meet there rather than just going to a pub/restaurant or whatever. Everyone I met was very friendly, as you might expect, and I recieved quite a lot of compliments from both other TG's and RG's, so I was left feeling very happy with myself. I guess I am finally getting my look right. If there was a downside, it was the formality, very German, lol, and for me it was the first time I had not been out in the general public so I found that a little strange. However, it was a nice evening and I got into bed around 2am so I'm certainly not complaining. Interestingly, they tended to believe that it was quite difficult being out in Germany, and were suprised by the fact that I go out regurlarly and with no problems. I can only put it down to those fears we have about what might happen, when in reality, most people are not actually bothered. I'm looking forward to the next one. Now, back to studying.................Nikki

Well, next week I find out if three years of study have been worth it since I have my final exams. I am feeling confident though and looking forward to some closure on this degree.I was going to take a break for a few months before my next course for a different degrees starts but have instead opted to take a diploma course in the meantime, just to fill the void so to speak. I wonder about my sanity sometimes, I really do.......Nikki x

Okay, so I have decided what I want, or what I can afford at least, so all I need to do is finish saving the cash for the surgery, and of course the cost of staying in the US for a couple of weeks, hotels, meals etc. On the plus side I can get a pretty good price on a flight........oh who am I kidding? The plus side is that I am getting a more femme appearance!!I will also use the time to visit Boston properly and NYC and catch up with one of my sisters there which I am looking forward to as much as I am the surgery, maybe even more so. I just need to figure out a good time to go now, which oddly enough, is not as easy as it seems. Busy busy busy......Hopefully by next spring though.Nikki

Well, the good news is I had my 6th appoinment today, which was brilliant! Nothing left on the neck and cheeks, just the 'goatee' bit which is proving to be a little stubborn, nearly there though. The consultant thinks 2 more visits should do it, I tend to agree. Plus she agreed to do them at half price for me as well, and if it just that area only, then it will cost much less than that even. Isn't she lovely?Of course, I will have the usual 'bumpfest' to deal with on my face for the next seven days but it is very much worth it. Oh, I'm so happy!!Love,Nikki xx

I have just submitted my last assignment for one of my degrees I am studying for, I only have the final exam in October to worry about know, but I am feeling pretty confidant about it. I only have a couple of weeks of revision but it should be enough so I am feeling quite relaxed about the whole thing really and just looking forward to getting it finished. I thought I would take a break then but decided to carry straight on with my second degree, which is about halfway through, I doubt whether I'll stop then because this studying gets very addictive you know so a third one will be coming my way! Besides, it would be pretty cool to have 'the three degrees'.Love, Nikki
