Hi all. Yes, I've been distant lately, and probably will be for a little while. But it's like that in general and not just here. But here's what has been going on.
Financial troubles are not getting any better, and we may have to take a certain action to keep everything. I spoke to an attorney yesterday so there is a solution.
Friday night I received a phone call from one of the TW girls. I knew my wife wouldn't want to hear the conversation so I took it out of the room. She figured out right away it was one of my TG friends and looked on Caller-ID to see who it was. When I got off the phone she had a fit about anyone TG calling me. She doesn't want anyone having our number and calling the house. She then demanded that the calls stop, I throw out all my clothes, and essentially sever my ties. We spent the rest of the evening and the next morning arguing over it.
She has calmed down and doesn't mind if I keep my contact with TW, but she wants it kept to this site and e-mail, no personal contact at all. She feels it's invading the house. As for the clothes, I told her I will considering donating my skirts and dresses to charity (sob!). No, it's not fair to me. I am entitled to my friends, and she never sees my outfits. I tried to show her a black skirt on Saturday but she merely turned her head.
We wound up having a nice weekend after all. I can understand - to a point - her feelings. And while this makes her seem terrible, she really is a great person and has carried me for quite some time while I struggled with my professional life, or lack thereof, as well as my own personal insecurity issues for which I see a shrink. Any other woman would have dumped me a long time ago.
So right now we're moving along and hoping for the future. On Monday I travel to Georgia for that interview, meaning I'll be out of touch for a few days. Also, my main school will interview me for the spot there, I received my signed contract for my first book, and the acquisitions editor for my second book really likes what I submitted. So who knows what will happen next?
