Yep, I managed to really f' up these days. I'm surprised she hasn't put me out yet, and she would have every right to do so. No, I didn't cheat! I just screwed up on two fronts. And they were first class screw ups. I can't even bear to face them.
Here's the interesting part - I have been investigating other work options. I applied to a place the other day and they kinda made it clear they weren't interested. But - surprise surprise - a whole slew of interviews popped up. I used to use my background in legal history to do compliance work for the insurance industry (what a bunch of scumbags!). Well, today I attended an informational interview, and they already called me back for a second interview on Friday. This is no joke - I had to fill out some form of theirs as to why they should hire me. I referred to myself as "psychotic" and they liked it. Then, tomorrow I'm meeting with our home insurance agent to both make a payment and to interview with him. He's interested in hiring me. I'll do whatever I can to bring in cash, get out of the house, and make amends.
Then, which did surprise me, I got a call this afternoon from a college here in Illinois. I have a phone interview next week. I like those because I can have cheat sheets in front of me. The school is about 4 hours drive from here. I really wasn't sure they'd call, but they did!
But it still doesn't change the fact that I feel like crap. I can't even face me. Then, to top it all off, I ripped my good black lace Maidenform panties, so I have to toss those out. Damn it.
