Today I met with Alicia, the CD with whom Helen Boyd put me in touch. We met at a local coffee shop known for being TG friendly (well, Gay, Lesbian and Bi-friendly, too, but that's not the point). She's going to read my manuscript. She may also be teaching for that one school I've been at almost a year now, you know, the one I used to bitch about but grew to love. I'm putting in a good word for her to the school since she hasn't gone through that bizarre interviewing process yet. Wow, two TGs in the same department! We got along just fine with no awkwardness whatsoever. It was nice to be able to openly discuss who we are without any fear. And the coffee was good too.  We're going to try to attend the national TG convention that will be here in the area next month. We were drab (at least outwardly) for our get-together. She was really nice!

But I made the mistake of mentioning some of our conversation at home, especially referring to Alicia as "she" and "her," something that ticks off my wife a lot. What ensured was a terrible row, much of focused on our extreme financial problems and some of my recent stupid mistakes. It was nasty. But we were able to settle down and part on peaceful terms since I had to go teach tonight. We haven't slept together in the same bed over a week now, much less, well, you know. But we're going to try.

Class was okay. Some of them ticked me off by constantly talking. What the hell - this class ends next week anyway.

Well, ladies, I have two interviews on Thursday. The one is a phone interview with a college, which I mentioned before, and one is a face-to-face with my insurance agent who may have work for me. I'll take both.
