One quick one

Well, I've never really been quick (oh dear!), but here is a quickie (oh dear!).

The phone interview was great. They were very personable people, and I made them laugh a few times. I'm wishing I had answered one or two questions better, but, then again, they have my resume so they know my fields of expertise. I would really like an on-campus interview, which would happen very soon. I'll try not to get myself worked up over it. Well, too late. I am. Now I'll just wait for another heartbreak.

My insurance interview was pretty much a done deal. But, I'm not so sure I want to pursue this path, but the boss is a nice guy and really thinks I can do this. I'm thinking about it.

HERE'S THE FUN PART: That little f'g eunuch of a dean sewed on a pair of balls to call my house today to see where the grades were. I wasn't at home, but my wife was. She gave him the chilliest reception a person could imagine. What amazes me is why he called.  HE IS A F'G WIMP!!!!!  He followed the political crowd at school and sent me that letter instead of speaking to me first. If he had spoken to me, I bet he would have (again, if he had balls) taken my side. I think he's working out guilt feelings and wanted a chat. It's a good thing I didn't. I would have told him what I thought. I sent an e-mail to him and the registrar saying that if they are so hot for me to submit grades on time they better give me the means to do so. I'm supposed to do it online, but for some reason I can't access all I need to do.  Hmmmmm.......I wonder why. The registrar's office said they could fax me a grade form (to where?), but the dean was very silent.

On the last day of my Asia class we finished up Jackie Chan's "Drunken Master." Okay, not an academic film, but the class was a good one so we had a few laughs.  One of my students decided to act out the final fight scene in front of us all. It was great.
