Just a quickie

Maybe I shouldn't say "just a quickie."  That's how I got pregnant.  Wait, that wasn't a quickie.  Never mind.

Hopefully soon I'll start to post the lyrics to those songs I've been writing.  Some of you have been asking for them.  As soon as I can send them I will.  My computer access is limited to one hour a day at the local library.  So as not to anger my dad by asking for the car I walk the 1 1/2 miles here.  Actually, I don't mind because I do like to walk, and it helps me keep those legs in shape (just ask Kendra).

I might actually have some work soon.  I'll have some freelance work coming up this month, and a temp agency has a few spots they think I could get.  I was there yesterday taking their tests.  I aced every one.  Except for Excel.  While I received a passing score, it's a math program, and you all know how I am about that.

As for the Houston interview, I can't go.  I'm not a finalist - this is the preliminary round.  That means they don't pay travel expenses.  I have $50 to my name, need about $2000 to give to my wife for the house, and it's an expense that just isn't worth it.  If I was a finalist then they'd pay for my trip.  I asked them if we could do the interview by phone, especially since it would last less than one hour, so you can see how it wouldn't be economically feasible.

I've already been writing enough about my current situation in the Forums, so there's no need to post anything again here.  I also make daily postings about Karen Brad's recovery in the hospital.

Things are not much better living with my folks.  I pretty much get yelled at every day.  My folks are good people.  I just wish my dad would lighten up once in a while.

I did enjoy being at Karen's.  She got to see how I am when I'm in the kitchen.  I have full conversations with myself.  That is, when I wasn't running to the mirror to check how I looked.  In fact, the last webcam conversation I had with Kendra came right on the heels of my taking off my makeup, hose, etc.  I had to run and put some back on.  I am soooooooooooooooo vain sometimes.
