I dreamed a dream

Just a little update before the BIG update. On Tuesday I see the endo and find out what will happen with hormones.

Like everyone else, I’m still in shock over Becca. She was teaching me Dutch, too.

I had my follow-up meeting with the Associate Dean last week. He was impressed with my work. I was asked to return to the college for next term. They are giving me a course I have dreamt of doing for years – History of Chicago. Combined with the museum, I have steady work for quite a while.

I’ve been working the whole holiday weekend. In fact, I leave in just about an hour. Just before Thursday’s shift I had a quick phone chat with Lexi. Wow. I did name my car "The Dirty Bird" in honor of something that Brandi said about us.

I had a great time with my daughter the other day. I used to have a bank account, but since our trip to American Girl, I wonder where it went. My ex was hospitalized twice over the past week, including one overnight stay, so I did offer to help out if need be. Our daughter does come first.

The job at the museum is fine, although one co-worker is starting to get on my nerves already. She reminds me of someone I had to deal with on the boats. But I’m sure this will all be fine. For Friday’s lunch we had pot luck, and I brought in a dish of my own design. Everyone just loved it and ate it up (Thank you!).

BUT – do you ever encounter a couple of little kids with a little too much energy? Yesterday I had these little boys whose mom, or nanny, whatever she was, just couldn’t keep up (or care). Oy vey. One thought it would be great to show me how he could belch. Lovely.

So I am not around as much as I would usually be because of my work schedule. I’ll be around more these next few days.
