Won't be around much for a few days!

My museum job is really hopping these days. This week I am working two night events, so I won’t be around much. I might work a third night event for my friend Kristen, but I am not sure if I need to be running myself so ragged. I could use the OT pay, though. You know you have a great job that is so much fun when you laugh all the way home about what happened during the day. Kristen told me this story about something she did when she was 6 or 7 and it still makes me laugh. It’s a story about how a child repeats something she heard but doesn’t know what she is saying. She had me in tears, and in front of the museum visitors, too. Then we were acting out movies, especially "Ghostbusters."

That one girl who I thought might have been a pain turned out to be pretty cool after all. I just needed to understand where she was coming from, and once I did that I saw she is a nice person. My other co-workers are great. However, one dude who started the same day as me has now stepped forward as the official brown-noser. Let’s just say he is impressing nobody, especially those who have been there for years. We’re actually enjoying watching him make a fool out of himself.

Lord knows I loved working for the boats, but there was a very clear line there between who was part of the "in-crowd" and who wasn’t (take a big guess who wasn’t, and who didn’t care). All of us PIs (Program Interpreters) do tend to act as one big family, even with the brown-noser.

I am making some calls today to register with a gender clinic so I can get HRT started. I saw my regular doctor the other day and she put me on some new medication for blood pressure and cholesterol. The endo doesn’t see any problems with me doing those meds, and then hormones.

This means coming out very soon. This is so exciting.

I also speak to Lexi a lot more than usual. We’re trying to get together very soon. I still wonder what a girl as beautiful and sexy as she is sees in me! I really can’t wait to see her.

My ex has really relaxed these days. I see my daughter more and more, and she lets me drive her in the Dirty Bird (although they don’t know the meaning of the name). It enables us to do a lot more on our visits.

So, I’ll get here as much as I can. Which over the next few days won’t be that much.
