We are negotiating a new union contract at work. No I'm not a part of the commity. They pesented it to us at a meeting today. The company want to combine 2 classifications into 1. The techs & die setters. I'm second in seniority for techs. If we allow them to do this I end up on the bottom. The commity gave us no real details of how it will work out. My other union brothers & sisters backed me up & voted it down. The raises they offerd were nothing. These cover everyone that works there. $2.20 over 5yrs. I go to Florida in a month if things don't get worked out I might stay there. I have enough money put up to open a store. Thats not what I want to do but I won't eat shit for no one. I would have been the biggest loser in that deal. I'm very touched my co-workers stood up for me. Tempers realy started getting hot. Our local wasn't very vocal untill now.
I know this has nothing to do with being transgenderd. But it is about my life.
