After what I wrote yesterday I got to thinking about some of the other things I did for the first time. Since I was a boy I got no instructions on how to do things. So I had to find out for myself.

Wanting to wear makeup I had to first go buy some. Thinking I could say it was for my sister I went to the store. The plan was to just get a couple of things real fast & get out. When I got to the makeup aisle it looked to be a mile or so long & had thousands & thousands of things. Well I started looking at some stuff & it seemed as though they had a hundreds kinds of the same thing. OK I thought I'll just get some eye shadow & mascara, that should be easy. More brands than I had ever heard of & more colors than I ever thought possible. At first I started reading some but after a while I thought I had been there to long & people would start wondering why. I felt as though all eyes were on me. I also knew that if I tried to say it was for my sister she would have told me what kind, so I had to get something before anyone asked if I needed help. I was getting very worried so I just grabbed some without looking to see what kind it was. I got in line to pay, & a very long line it was. Than I just knew people were looking at what I had in my hand & wondering why a 14yr old boy was buying makeup. After what felt like an hour, I got to pay for my stuff, & crammed it into my pocket & left as fast as I could. Getting home I stashed it in my room where no one could ever find it. Days later I finely had a chance to try it out. I got it out of hiding & went into the bathroom to use the mirror. I laid it all out & opened it up. I couldn't figger out how I was supposed to put it on. I didn't have an applicator to put it on with. I realized I had to go back to the store to get the rest of the things I would need. I thought that should be easy enough. How many kinds can there be?
