The Danish Girl

This morning I watched The Danish Girl. This is a beautiful but sad film. And so important for understanding what it is for a man to want to be a woman. It made me cry.

Eddie Redmayne was brilliant as Lily in the film. But he said that if it was made today, he would not accept the role. I agree that his role should have been played by a trans actor. It’s very hard for trans actors to find suitable roles. Even harder for a trans woman actor to be cast as a cis woman in any form of the arts. I would love to be Lady Macbeth.

Ariane all day so far but still at home. I am waiting for my shopping to arrive. Ariane has been shopping for England.

I wish there were more girls on this site. Someone to chat with. I am not a member of any other trans site.

  • Suzy Russell I may have heard of the film but will now look it up. I am surprise that the government has allowed such a film to be released in this country since they have such a hatred everything trans.
