I phoned my GP on Thursday and she told me that she had got the referral back from the Psychiatrist, and read out the conclusion to me. (So far I’ve not received a copy)
She said that “By the appearance when presented, the subject is......” and I cant remember if the word was then “clearly” or “obviously, Transgendered” but she went on with, “so you need to research surgeons and find one to undertake the surgery. Its your money so you need to decide.”
Now thats what has confused the heck out of me, as the psychiatrist had told me that it wasn’t his place to diagnose me as Transsexual. When I then asked if that meant that I would need to be referred to a gender clinic like charring Cross, she said I could if I want to, but I didn’t need to as I have the diagnosis already. So there is my confusion! I was expecting a huge battle to convince the powers concerned that I know in my heart that I should be allowed to transition, so they should just get on with it, but it seems like one 45 minute assessment was enough to achieve that outcome already.
Did I just get from A to Z without hitting B through Y?
As if being TS isn’t confusing enough LOL
Maybe I should stop dying my hair blonde
