Yes I was taken to the restaurant a couple of weeks ago, then did it home last Monday, did away with the truffles, used mushrooms and made the red wine sauce.   I didn't pay for it, He had it so I tried it, as a share dish was different really nice. Yes a very strong beef taste, succulent, I will try anything once, especially if someone else is paying for it.   I also like braised lambs kidneys done in a slow cooker with red wine,   I'm told pigs kidneys have a very strong taste and not to go there,

Kind of reminds me of Hannibal Lector
