About.com is full of great references on different topics. Their SHOE section is very useful.

This is the guide to women's shoes we all wish we had when we first started to buy clothes and shoes for ourselves. It is so comprehensive that it will help you with men's shoe decisions (personally, I haven't got a clue or the motivation to find out what men's shoes I should wear so it saves some painfully wasted time that I could be spending admiring my new pumps. Check out all the links and expect to spend half a day here. Some links will carry you to women's clothing links such as videos on how to pick clothing according to your body shape.

This is as close to "Everything you wanted to know about shoes but were afraid to ask" as I have found yet. One benefit of such sites is that you can find out things like the fact that your "fetish" for shoes is one shared by most women. This sort of "support" can help you feel more "normal".
