Well, I was worrried about "passing in public" with my choice of shoes - what looks right and what would be best to walk in and also not look odd with my whole outfit.

OK, so I've decided to actually go outside at night (movie theatre?). My dressing plan is "casual": dress, or skirt and blouse, sweater, black tights. I bought some really nice booties by Diba.  I like the look of leather booties with dresses and skirts, and they would work with jeans as well.  It is cool at night in New England. and I was going to wear my nomex flight jacket (it's like new condition) to "dress down" a little. But I found a dk red Ann Taylor short p-coat at a vintage store for $5!  Exactly what I was looking for but afraid to be too dressed-up for a movie? Or do I stand around looking at my watch like I've been stood-up? Now I'm getting nervous.....
