    • Rowan! I doubt you will read this as you made one post and were sucked into the GS black hole never to return as most do who come here. You are not alone in the black hole! You share it with about 20,000 never to be seen again members.

You say you are underage? According to your profile you are over 18 so you are not underage. Unless you lied about your age you have gone through puberty and once that has happened age does not matter to much as nature has done it's work.

So as I doubt you will read this others can learn from it. I personally have about 20 months prescribed packs of hormones. Would I give or sell them to anyone? No I would not because they were prescribed to me by my doctor. You and others need to understand they are not sweets/candy. The the reason I have so many spare packs is because I have blood tests every 3 months and my dosage changes depending on levels in my blood. Twice my Oestrogen levels have been dangerously high and I mean dangerously , more than 4 times higher than a genetic female. Without those blood tests I would have been unaware of those levels and they would have kept rising and could have caused DVT or stroke or even killed me. Do it the proper way and safest way and see a professional.

    • Emma's comments are pertinant to your situation and future path: self administration is a highly risky and dangerous path; and, professional advice is essential. Why do you not want your parents to find out?

    • October 17, 2015 10:27 PM BST
    • The first question is do you have a psych/counselor? They will be instrumental in helping you move through the process. DO NOT take meds that are not prescribed for you. Once you have worked with a psych/counselor, they will determine when you are ready to begin hormone replacement therapy (HRT). As I found, even at 57, and endo may not just take your word for it. My endo wants my counselor to call her or FAX a letter stating that I am truly transgendered and it is not brought about by some other condition. That is another thing that the psych/counselor will ascertain. I know it can be frustrating, but you have to follow the process. It is for your benefit that things move slowly. Some changes can't be undone easily once you begin. So a counselor will make sure you are on the right path and seeing the right people. Once again, do not take shortcuts. DO NOT take meds not prescribed to you. An endocronologist will take a baseline blood test to check your testesterone levels as well as other things. They will then prescribe the correct dosages for your body and levels. These drugs are powerful and can cause kidney damage also. So please, take the right steps. Be sure to have a psych/counselor to guide you.

    • Hi everyone!

I'm an underage trans girl. I've only come out to a couple of close friends. I've been feeling extremely dysphoric about my body recently and I have panic attacks at school because of it. At this point in my life it could be very dangerous for me to come out to my family, but I really really need to get on estrogen as soon as possible because my body is going through a lot of irrevirsible changes that I really need to prevent. If any of you know how I could get hormones without my parents knowledge, please help. I'm desperate.

    • My wife took me to dinner for the first time dressed as a woman.  We went to the Aut Bar, in Ann Arbor.  The food is great, and we both had a wonderful time.  Its a gay bar, where crossdressers/transgenders are very welcome.  We've gone back several times, and the service has always been great and everyone is very friendly.

    • Awesome, I can't wait to see you there ^_^ If you go on the web site and see what theme or special event or whatever they are doing, most of the time you will get in free if you are in costume. This week was pajama night and I got in for free in a slutty little night gown and fishnets lol the door guys are usually really cool ;)
Btw Charlene, you're from westland? I grew up there and still spend about half the time there. We should meet sometime, I've never seen any other special ladies like us in Westland before O_o

    • Really anywhere in Ann Arbor is trans friendly. This is a very very liberal, open minded, and accepting college town with a higher than average LGBT population. One of my favorite places is called The Necto Night Club. The most Trans friendly nights to go are Monday for Goth/ Industrial night and Friday for pride night. On both nights it's about half the same crowd anyway and they do a lot of special events like Pajama night, hero's vs villains, general cosplay, formal prom night, gangster 30's night, etc. Anyway, it's a fun place and usually on any given Monday their are a least a couple other trans girls, on fridays there are many trans girls and trans guys, though I must admit the trans guys are usually harder to spot because they usually pass pretty well.
Come check it out, I hope to see you there ^_^

    • Truly, although this region is heavily homo- and transphobic, restaurant and club owners know it's profitable to let the gaggle of (or solo) crossdressers into their establishment - after all, our money is the same colour as anyone else's, and we tip well. So it's probably better to say where to avoid: the two hardcore country bars on the southside and the one on the west end, all the bars in the Boyle Street area, and a few neighbourhood bars in Beverly, central Castledowns and Millwoods.

Our tranny group has a couple dozen hotspots we favour: Brewster's in Oliver Square, Normand's at the Citadel, the Underground Tap&Grill on Jasper Ave, Earl's on Jasper and on 104St, all the Sorrentino's locations, Dawaat and Block 1912 on Whyte, Brigitte's on 97th St, Wasabi Sushi Bar in Lendrum, on and on, you get the drift.

The queer bars, Evolutions Wonderlounge and Buddy's/Woody's, are decent places to drop in for a beer, when solo enfemme. I step out anywhere I want, always have a good time, but at my size (5'4"/163cm), you can either be a subby sissy or you can take-no-grief from the obnoxious, and I tend to the latter (but if he's a hunky stud-like object with manners, I'll play the game!).

When I attended my first Illusions social in 2001, the answer to my question of best-place-to-shop was "Edmonton". This applies to nightclubbing; every single time I step out I make more galpals who want to go out and party with their gurlfriends. And hey, I seriously Do Not Pass...

    • Handy for ALL the Benidorm nightlife, and right in the centre of the Old Town, you´ll find the Babylon Hotel, run by Tony, and his quite amazing staff.

The hotel is clean, comfortable and has great roof terrace bar and garden.  The food is excellent, and trust me, you will be made most welcome and feel right at home.

So if you are considering a visit to Benidorm, you should put this one right at the top of the list.  I have never felt more at home anywhere in the world - except at home.  Look it up on Trip Advisor, and if you do go, tell Tony that Amanda says "Hi!"

Oh, and don´t miss the show at Levi´s Showboat, fabulous drag act, great singing and comedy - and it costs nada, zilch, nothing.  Besides, it´s free, just in case you missed the message.

    • There are 2 TG/Gay bars I have been too in the St. Louis area (Both are in the City of St. Louis) Korners (which soon will be no more as it is going to go up for sale) and the Rehab. The Rehab bar & grill is a VERY TG friendly spot to go to people & employees are VERY friendly & one of the female bartenders has some GREAT dance moves. The food there if you like the greasy spoon type of food it's great other wise avoid the burgers as they are DRIPPING with grease YUCK flavor of the cowboy burger is good just not all the grease. The drag show the night I was there with another TG friend of mine was quite loud & couldn't here your self think in the other part of the bar (Open between the two areas) non smoking inside the bar it self which I for one LOVE smoking is ONLY permitted out side or on the outside patio. I had an ok time but bars are not my thing but this place I would go back too. Hands down.

    • Goodhandys changed names to club120 or some such, and it has become basically a $20 lapdance with a T-girl joint. Felt like I was in a strip club when there a month ago. That said, I wasn't dressed that night, so if I ever find myself in Toronto again, I might try going geared up.

    • I reccomend "The Zipper"
I had the loveliest time there when I was visiting the great white north. Not specifically a TV/TG bar, but they make everyone feel welcome, and have a killer drag show.

    • Yes Carol - if you buy an expensive dress - you know the seams won't "let go" the first time you wear it.

    • September 22, 2012 7:06 PM BST
    • Far better that than sit there in silence because the guy was too embarrassed/shy to talk. That happened to me on one date (and I had told him in advance about me to give him the chance of backing out), but it was like pulling hen's teeth trying to get more than a one word answer out of him. It was really hard work trying to draw him out of his shell and in the end I thought this just isn't worth the time and effort I am putting into it.

Fortunately, most of my other dates have been really nice (I use hetero dating sites, not some of the tranny ones - and the more expensive ones tend to give you far better dates than some of the cheaper ones). The more expensive the dating site, the more articulate and interesting the guys are - so I have found it to be well worth paying that little bit extra in order to meet a really nice guy.

    • September 22, 2012 6:25 PM BST
    • Rose, you did the right thing. plus, you met some new people and ended up with some pretty new shoes!
The world is full of people like this guy and whether you are a GG, Guy, or will have to deal with the as they come.

    • September 10, 2012 3:06 PM BST
    • I agreed to meet a guy in York - which is a lovely old city - so we met by the river and chose a nice pub.

After two minutes it was obvious the guy had no idea of social niceties as his chat was nothing but I/me/I think - and any topic I tried to start was just brushed aside with more of his I/me talk.

So I finished the drink and left him alone to wonder why he is alone and I went to watch a bride arriving in horse drawn carriage to get married at the Minster and had a nice chat with some folks from down south...then I treated myself to some pretty new shoes.

You can park in Queens square for £2.50 all evening. 'Please be warned the area is extensively cobbled so bring your killer heels by all means but keep them in a bag until you get in the pub.
